Something to Ponder

Today we have higher buildings and wider highways, 

but shorter temperments and narrower points of view.

We spend more, but enjoy less. 

We have bigger houses, but smaller families. 

We have more compromises, but less time. 

We have more knowledge, but less judgement. 

We have more medicines, but less health.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. 

We talk much, we love only a little, and we hate too much.

We reached the moon and came back, but we find it troublesome to cross our own street and meet our neighbors. 

We have conquered the outer space, but not our inner space.

We have higher income, but less morals… 

These are times with more liberty, but less joy… 

With much more food, but less nutrition…

These are days in which two salaries come home, but divorces increase. 

These are times of finer houses, but more broken homes.

FRIENDS

Friends are sacred to me. I like having many friends and enjoy the good company.

But having friends goes along with a price. 

The joy of having friends is indescribable but have to face a great pain when seeing them go.

That's part of having friends; to meet and to depart.

I always wish friends are for keeps though the reality is some friends come and go like passing clouds.

I miss some friends whom I crossed paths once and whom I don't see anymore..

To all my dear friends, this is my hope for a true meaning of friendship.

If I'm the bread, my friend is the butter,

when spread on the bread, we can click together.

When I cry, my friend understands why,

She will be by my side to let it go by.

On every gloomy day, my friend is the sunshine,

That shoos the gloominess from this soul of mine.

Many a time , I stumble and fall,

But I'm glad, my friend gives a hand for me to hold.

The misfortunes of life tears the happiness from me,

My friend puts back the torn pieces like what it used to be.

Come what may; rain, shine or harsh weather,

My friend will always be there to give me shelter.

To my dear friends, wherever you are,

You all are my priceless jewel forever.!!

People you can't Live without, can Live without you!!

Sometimes...

when people decide to leave you for good, you have to let them.

No matter how much you don't want them to, there are some things that are far beyond our control.

And even if you have the strength to fight for them,

You have to accept the cold, harsh truth 

''That the people you can't live without, can live without YOU."

Missing Someone

Searching a face so familiar,

Sad to say, it isn't here,

Wish so much to be near,

With someone who's very dear.

Starring the sky so afar,

Hoping the days to be closer,

When you and I are together,

Sharing life with each other.

Like a gem, you're so rare,

Hard to get just anywhere,

Precious bond needs lots of care,

Losing you will make me scared.!!

Sharing a Meal !!

The little old couple walked slowly into McDonalds that cold winter evening. They looked out of place amid the young families and young couples eating there that night.

Some of the customers looked admiringly at them. You could tell what the admirers were thinking.

"Look, there is a couple who has been through a lot together, probably for 60 years or more!"

The little old man walked right up to the cash register, placed his order with no hesitation and then paid for their meal. The couple took a table near the back wall and started taking food off of the
tray.

There was one hamburger, one order of french fries and one drink. The little old man unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in half. He placed one half in front of his wife.

Then he carefully counted out the french fries, divided them in two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife. He took a sip of the drink, his wife took a sip and then set the cup down between them.

As the man began to eat his few bites of hamburger the crowd began to get restless. Again you could tell what they were thinking. "That poor old couple. All they can afford is one meal for the two of them."

As the man began to eat his french fries one young man stood and came over to the old couples table. He politely offered to buy another meal for the old couple to eat. The old man replied that they were just fine. They were used to sharing everything.

Then the crowd noticed that the little old lady hadn't eaten a bite. She just sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.

Again the young man came over and begged them to let him buy them something to eat. This time the lady explained that no, they were used to sharing everything together.

As the little old man finished eating and was wiping his face neatly with a napkin the young man could stand it no longer.

Again he came over to their table and offered to buy some food. After being politely refused again he finally asked a question of the little old lady.

"Maam, why aren't you eating? You said that you share everything. What is it that you are waiting for?"

She answered, "The Teeth :D

If you take things for granted heres somethings to ponder about..

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...

You are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of

imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation..

You are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you can attend a meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death..

You are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep...

You are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace...

You are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still alive and still married...

You are very rare, even in the United States and Canada.

If you can read this webpage, you are more blessed than

over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

Take nothing for granted.!!

Word don't mean anything..

You can say sorry a million times,

Say I love you as much as you want,

Say whatever you want, whenever you want.

But if you’re not going to prove that the things you say are true,

Then don’t say anything at all..

Because if you can’t show it, your words don’t mean a thing.
